How Much Do You Charge?
For smaller pieces, I usually charge by the piece and not by the hour. If I find you have a reasonable budget you are looking to stay within for your tattoo, I am usually willing to work with that. I will let you know if I don't think your budget will work with what you are trying to accomplish with your tattoo and we can talk about what your options are. I generally reserve my hourly rate for large, multiple session pieces. In that case my minimum is $100, my hourly rate is $175/hr and I take a non-refundable booking fee of at least $50, sometimes more depending on the piece.

What is the process for making an appointment?
I have a form on my Booking page, that you can fill out. It will allow you to describe your tattoo idea and include a reference image. I will email you back. If we both can accommodate your project and I feel it is necessary, I will often schedule a consultation where we can go over your reference images, map out the area you wish to get tattooed, and I will take a deposit.

I will schedule your appointment to get tattooed at that time. If you've got a specific date you wish to get tattooed on, please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate you, but please contact me in advance as I'm usually booked out about 3-6 weeks in advance. My Sundays are the most in demand and generally get booked out at least a month in advance.

It's my first tattoo, is there anything I should know?
You should eat within 2 hours of your tattoo appointment and bring snacks with you. I have clients that bring their own pillows. The healing process requires really diligent care for about two weeks, the first week being the most important. Most people are healed enough to go swimming within 3-4 weeks. Plan not to soak your tattoo, or have extra sun exposure during the month you are healing your tattoo.
You should read the
aftercare information to get a good idea of what you will be in for with healing.

Do you sell gift certificates?
Yes! You can buy them online here.
^
Do you take cards?
Yes, I take card via square, and I also accept cash app $tattoosbyanna or venmo @tattoosbyanna.

When will I see the finalized drawing?
I do not send renderings of your art, please provide enough details about what you want for me to make an accurate rendering. You can visit your design at the shop prior to getting tattooed if we make arrangements ahead of time.
I simply don't have enough time between answering emails and actually tattooing people to draw in advance.

I will make small changes at your appointment time if necessary. I will sometimes decide to email a rough sketch of the design prior to your appointment but that will be at my own discretion.

What if I don't like the drawing?
A tattoo is something you are going to wear forever, you had better like it and I will do my very best to work with you so you love your tattoo.
I would hope that you would contact me before I start your drawing if you are going to make drastic changes to your concept. If I have to redraw more than half of your drawing multiple times, I am going to charge for my time and we can work that out on an individual basis.
This is why I suggest having a good idea what you want before submitting an inquiry to my
booking form.
However, if you do know what you want, and you like my portfolio, it is extremely likely you are going to like what I come up with for you and need only minor changes to your drawing, if any at all.
I am happy to accommodate as I want our time together and the tattoo I make on you to be the very best it can be.

How do I tip?
You can tip any artist as little or as much as you wish. I accept gifts, black coffee, high fives and my venmo and cash app are both 'tattoosbyanna'

I've changed my mind about getting tattooed, or I have changed my idea entirely. Are you going to keep my booking fee?
I do not get paid hourly, if I have drawn you something I will keep your booking fee for my time.
If your drawing just needs minor changes, or you decide to get your design tattooed after all, you have three months to decide before I purge your records, and the booking fee you left is no longer applicable toward your tattoo. Exceptions may be considered at my discretion.

What's in your ink?
I use Eternal, Fusion, Waverly, and Old Gold. These pigments are vegan, made with plant based glycerin, powder pigment, alcohol, and distilled water. You can find information online by googling the brand, followed by 'MSDS'

How do I care for my tattoo?
